Mal and Bryce's Wedding

CEREMONY AND RECEPTION

The ceremony will be held outdoors on the front lawn at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club on Toronto Island at 11:00am. A seated brunch reception will be held immediately following the ceremony in the RCYC ballroom.

Getting there: A private ferry will be taking guests to the event from the Cherry St dock location. The dress code for the yacht club is located here. Parking is located at the dock and costs 10$ per day and the area is accessible by taxi. The location is a 1.8km walk south from the 504 King streetcar stop at Sumach St (aka Cherry St). More information on public transportation in Toronto is below.

Getting back: Guests can take any of the regularly scheduled ferries back to the mainland, on the 00s and 30s. If you are interested in exploring Toronto Island, a map of sites and cycling/walking paths on the island can be found here.

PARTY

Guests are welcome to attend a casual private party on the evening of May 28th at C'est What, a local brew pub. Come by anytime after 8:00 pm to join us for local beers, wines, dancing and snacks. One of our favourite bands, Mr Something Something, will be playing some awesomely danceable funk/afrobeat music over the course of the night.

Getting there: The pub is located downstairs at 67 Front St, at the corner of Church and Front. It's easy to get to by subway (King Station or Union Station) or streetcar (504 King stop at Church St). Parking is located just south of the bar at Church and Esplanade in a Green P parkade and taxis can easily be hailed on the street.

RSVP

Please RSVP to malandbryce@gmail.com indicating which events you plan to attend. We have attempted to include a variety of food options for those with dietary restrictions, however please send pertinent allergy/dietary information/inquiries along with your RSVP.

Events and site-seeing:

The weekend of May 28th just happens to be the weekend of one of our favourite city events: Doors Open Toronto! The city opens the doors of many of its famous buildings for free, including distilleries, ballrooms, churches, libraries, factories, bank towers and many more. Previous years' highlights include tours of the famous Don Jail and free beer at the Steamwhistle Brewery.

The Toronto Blue Jays have home games on the evening of May 27th and during the day on May 29th.

Several shows are playing in Toronto the weekend of May 28th, including Billy Elliot, Calendar Girls and The Lion King. More information can be found here.

Live music is easy to find downtown at many local bars and venues. Listings can be found at Rotate This, Now and on Toronto.com.
